Jessica and performance artist Aki Sasamoto embark on the Beauty Project. Aki cultivates a beautiful self. Jessica cultivates a beautiful mind. They fight a good fight. They both come out of it alive.

While in the dirt and sun harvesting kale that was blue and dinosaur-like, chard that was rainbow, and buckets and buckets of bright red currants which were loaded into a bright red pickup truck, Jessica was stunned by nature-color-life saturation and the quiet revelation of abundance.
